Sunscreen and Sun Protection: Founder Story
As a Fair-skinned redheaded sun worshipper sunscreen is a daily essential for me
Kia ora, Nat here. I'm a career conservationist and since I spend a lot of time outside, with my fair skin, sunscreen is an essential for me. I also believe businesses are responsible for making eco-friendly choices easy for consumers.
This is what drove me to start Seasick Sunscreen Co. Thank you for believing in us.

Plastic-free sunscreen
Almost all sunscreens on the market come in single-use plastic bottles that end up in landfill where they can pollute waterways and the ocean. Sunscreen bottles are not recyclable because they can't be cleaned and the lids are too small to be processed. Plastic has a huge carbon footprint which contributes to climate change. By choosing sunscreen that is plastic-free and in recyclable packaging, you are helping to reduce your impact on the environment.
Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin and Eczema
If you struggle with skin sensitivity or eczema, you know how challenging it can be to find a sunscreen that protects your skin without causing irritation. Our formulations are different from most sunscreens because they are free of chemical UV filters and fragrance-free.
- Hypoallergenic
- Fragrance free
- Free of chemical UV filters such as oxybenzone
Sunscreen that Supports Ocean Conservation
When you purchase a tin of our sunscreen, you're supporting ocean conservation. We work alongside our chosen charities to ensure that each purchase you make contributes directly to the regeneration and protection of the ocean.
